Want to Help? __________________________________________ It's About Healing Families, Not Breaking Them Up "Families have been through alot these last few decades. How is your family doing? Look at your families: the one you grew up in as a child and the one you have created as an adult. Are you at peace, and are you reconciled with your parents and siblings? Or are you holding back because of the way they treat you now, or what they did to you in the past? If you are estranged from or embittered toward any of these family memebers, you have some things to remedy. Look at your adult family members: Your current spouse, ex-spouse, sons and daughters. How are those relationships?" (Excerpted from Remembering Wholeness, Ch. 40, pg. 171). Several years ago I was estranged from my family and I went five years with no contact with my siblings and parents. One day several years ago I was watching Oprah. It was a show on estranged family members due to painful family issues. At the end of the show she spoke to her viewing audience and encouraged anyone who was watching that had no contact with their family to heal those relationships. That someone at the time was me. I felt in my heart her message was something God wanted me to hear. I knew it was time for me to pray and ask for healing to come to my family. I didn't know how and when, I just knew I was to offer that prayer. I contuinued to pray and within time my family relationships began to heal. I know I was inspired and lead on my part on what to do, how to make contact with them, and when the time was right. When it wasn't right I left it alone and trusted. Several years later.....which is now, my family has reconciled and there is a love and respect amongst us. One of the biggest mindsets I had to let go of was being right. I didn't care anymore who was right, I just wanted to be happy. I have come to understand that my family members all played different roles for me to help me learn the lesson's I came here to learn. I know choose to percieve them in gratitude and love, rather than in resentment and anger. As a result they show up for me in that way. Remember, whatever we put our attention on, grows and manifests in our lives. If you have family relationships that are not yet healed, know that there is a blueprint for that healing already created. A desire to allow it to begin to manifest is the first step. A prayer asking God and his angels to assist in that manifestation is the next. There is nothing you have to do. Just get ready for a big change of heart that might really suprise you! I was in a bookstore recently looking around at the self-help books. There are so many to choose from and I was having a hard time deciding between a few books. As I was looking through the books, a book fell off the shelf. I bent down to pick it up and I put it back on the shelf without looking at it. A few minutes later it fell off the shelf again, so I picked it up and put it back again. Well, when it fell off the shelf for a third time, I looked at the book this time, and guess what the book was? It was your book of course! So I began to look through your book and the pages kept opening to the chapters on Angels. No matter what I did, the pages would open to those chapters. It was if the Angels were speaking right to me and telling me to read those chapters! So I did read those chapters right then and there and they just touched me to my heart. Send stories to carol@c... _______________________________________________________ A Question for Carol Question I am reading your book, a fried recommended it to me. It has been great but I am to the Angel part and I'm asking my Angels to help me get a new house or a house. We are living in a two bedroom apartment and our two kids are cramped. So I have asked the Angels to help me but I'm not sure what to do know. It says to just let your Angels do the work and just forget about it but I'm not sure how to do that. What should I do? Answer Thanks for contacting me with your question. Your next step is to believe and allow what you have asked for to happen. Your question "what should I do" comes from the strong programming that we tend to have that when we want something it is up to us to "do" something. If you are meant to do anything in behalf of this request, your angels will tell you. Think of it as inspired action. Just reassure yourself with this thought, "I am allowing what I have asked for to happen. I am excited to see how and when it plays out. If there is something I am supposed to do to assist it, I will know and act on it accordingly. I am grateful and excited for my new home." It is really simple, just get out of the way and trust that you deserve what you have asked for and it will happen. I just had a reader email me an angel story and she asked for a new house and it happended very easily for her. Thanks for asking. Let me know when it shows up. A few newsletters ago I mentioned that my husband and I have chosen to run a marathon. One of my reasons for taking on this challenge was to change my limiting belief "I can't run." Well, it is working....today I ran the longest distance I have ever ran in my life, 14 miles. My body feels it, and yet I am loving it. I am beginning to even look like a runner. I know my body is taking on the belief "I am a runner and I love it!" A couple of months after we made this choice to run a marathon, a flier came in the mail about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program. We felt impressed that we were meant to get involved in this program so our running a marathon could take on a more significant outcome for someone else. We have gotten involved and are currently training with the Utah Team in Training group to run the San Diego marathon in June. One of our commitments is to raise several thousand dollars for our honor patient, Dylan.Dylan has been healing his leukemia for 3+ years and after one more bone marrow treatment should go into remission.
