QUESTION: What if you're in a situation in which it would not be comfortable to tap? For example, you may be with other people or in surroundings in which it wouldn't be appropriate.

ANSWER: There may very well be times when you're in this situation. The beauty of EFT is that you're working with energy.

The body likes the tapping and enjoys the interaction. It's enlivening and refreshing to the body. So when you can, it is better to tap right on the body.

If you find yourself in a situation where you're not able to actively practice the tapping process, just mentally imagine yourself applying EFT. This will create a shift and will be effective.

Your imagination is powerful. Energy responds to what you think, what you're putting your focus on; EFT can be practiced internally, in a discreet manner and still be quite effective. Even in a public setting, many are very comfortable applying this inconspicuous form of EFT.
